- Public exploit or detection template: yes
- Published: 2021-01-06 · updated 2026-06-17
- Weakness: CWE-444
Description
Node.js versions before 10.23.1, 12.20.1, 14.15.4, 15.5.1 allow two copies of a header field in an HTTP request (for example, two Transfer-Encoding header fields). In this case, Node.js identifies the first header field and ignores the second. This can lead to HTTP Request Smuggling.
Affected products
- Debian Linux: 10.0
- Fedoraproject Fedora: 32, 33
- Node.js: from 10.0.0 before 10.23.1; from 12.0.0 before 12.20.1; from 14.0.0 before 14.15.4; from 15.0.0 before 15.5.1 — fixed in 10.23.1, 12.20.1, 14.15.4, 15.5.1
- Oracle Corporation GraalVM Enterprise Edition: 19.3.4, 20.3.0
- Siemens Sinec Infrastructure Network Services: before 1.0.1.1 — fixed in 1.0.1.1
How to fix
