- Severity: high (CVSS 7.1 v3.1)
- Exploited in the wild: not listed in CISA KEV
- EPSS: 0.2% probability of exploitation in the next 30 days
- Public exploit or detection template: none known

- Weakness: CWE-125
Description
TensorFlow is an open source platform for machine learning. In affected versions the shape inference functions for the `QuantizeAndDequantizeV*` operations can trigger a read outside of bounds of heap allocated array. The fix will be included in TensorFlow 2.7.0. We will also cherrypick this commit on TensorFlow 2.6.1, TensorFlow 2.5.2, and TensorFlow 2.4.4, as these are also affected and still in supported range.
Affected products
- tensorflow: before 2.4.4; from 2.5.0 before 2.5.2; from 2.6.0 before 2.6.1 — fixed in 2.4.4, 2.5.2, 2.6.1
How to fix
Upgrade to a fixed version: tensorflow 2.4.4, 2.5.2, 2.6.1. Check the vendor advisory for mitigations.
