- Severity: high (CVSS 7.1 v3.1)
- Exploited in the wild: not listed in CISA KEV
- EPSS: 0.2% probability of exploitation in the next 30 days
- Public exploit or detection template: none known

- Weakness: CWE-908
Description
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: adc: rockchip_saradc: fix information leak in triggered buffer The 'data' local struct is used to push data to user space from a triggered buffer, but it does not set values for inactive channels, as it only uses iio_for_each_active_channel() to assign new values. Initialize the struct to zero before using it to avoid pushing uninitialized information to userspace.
Affected products
- Linux kernel: from 5.9 before 6.6.72; from 6.7 before 6.12.10; 6.13-rc1, 6.13-rc2, 6.13-rc3, 6.13-rc4, 6.13-rc5, 6.13-rc6 — fixed in 6.12.10, 6.6.72
How to fix
Upgrade to a fixed version: Linux kernel 6.12.10, 6.6.72. Check the vendor advisory for mitigations.
