CVE-2026-2733: Org.keycloak/keycloak-services: keycloak: missing check on disabled client for docker registry protocol
- Severity: low (CVSS 3.8 v3.1)
- Exploited in the wild: not listed in CISA KEV
- EPSS: 0.4% probability of exploitation in the next 30 days
- Public exploit or detection template: none known
- Published: 2026-02-19 · updated 2026-06-17
- Weakness: CWE-285
Description
A flaw was identified in the Docker v2 authentication endpoint of Keycloak, where tokens continue to be issued even after a Docker registry client has been administratively disabled. This means that turning the client “Enabled” setting to OFF does not fully prevent access. As a result, previously valid credentials can still be used to obtain authentication tokens. This weakens administrative controls and could allow unintended access to container registry resources.
Affected products
- Red Hat build of Keycloak 26.4: all versions — fixed in 26.4-12, 26.4.10-1
- Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform 8: all versions
- Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform Expansion Pack: all versions
- Red Hat Single Sign-On 7: all versions
How to fix
Upgrade to a fixed version: Red Hat build of Keycloak 26.4 26.4-12, 26.4.10-1. Check the vendor advisory for mitigations.
