CVE-2026-58080
- Severity: high (CVSS 8.2 v3.1)
- Exploited in the wild: not listed in CISA KEV
- EPSS: 0.4% probability of exploitation in the next 30 days
- Public exploit or detection template: none known
- Published: 2026-08-04 · updated 2026-10-23
- Weakness: CWE-862
Description
In Eclipse Milo versions 1.0.0 through 1.1.4, `OpcUaServerConfig.copy()` fails to preserve a configured `RoleMapper`. On servers that rely on role permissions and construct the running configuration through `copy()`, sessions receive no role IDs and the default access controller skips role-permission checks, allowing an anonymous client where anonymous sessions are permitted to read role-permission metadata, invoke protected methods, or delete protected nodes.
Affected products
- Eclipse Foundation Eclipse Milo: from 1.0.0 before 1.1.5 — fixed in 1.1.5
How to fix
Upgrade to a fixed version: Eclipse Foundation Eclipse Milo 1.1.5. Check the vendor advisory for mitigations.
