CVE-2026-8505: Authentication Bypass in Webhook Endpoints Allowed Unauthorized Flow Execution
- Severity: critical (CVSS 9.8 v3.1)
- Exploited in the wild: not listed in CISA KEV
- EPSS: 0.7% probability of exploitation in the next 30 days
- Public exploit or detection template: none known
- Published: 2026-07-17 · updated 2026-10-24
- Weakness: CWE-306
Description
IBM Langflow OSS 1.0.0 through 1.10.0 has a vulnerability in Langflow's webhook authentication logic allows unauthenticated users to trigger the execution of any flow. The system incorrectly bypasses API key validation when the WEBHOOK_AUTH_ENABLE configuration is set to False (which is the default setting). This allows a remote attacker who knows a flow's UUID to execute it as if they were the owner, potentially leading to Remote Code Execution (RCE).
Affected products
- IBM Langflow OSS: from 1.0.0 before 1.10.1 — fixed in 1.10.1
How to fix
Upgrade to a fixed version: IBM Langflow OSS 1.10.1. Check the vendor advisory for mitigations.
